Owner of this wonderful business
I started Nannies 4 Pets officially in 2017, although I had been looking after peoples pets for many years prior. I decided it was a great job to compliment my studies and ensure I had a job when I finished university. I mainly spend my time with dogs and horses, but sometimes I get to work with other interesting animals like alpacas, pigs, donkeys, sheep and cows!
Yard Hand & Show Groom
2007 - 2017 (on and off at multiple yards)
Over the years I have worked and volunteered at a wide variety of yards. Starting off at my local riding school, progressing over the years to high level competition yards and national showing yards. Both attending shows and staying back taking sole charge on competition days.
September 2015 - June 2019
I chose this degree as it was the only one in the country at the time, I spent my third year on placement where I worked abroad in Southern France for a month and the majority of the year at a working farm where they breed Shire Horses. l graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Equestrian Psychology and Sports Science and hope to return one day to complete a masters or PhD.
September 2013 - June 2015
Whilst completing my A-Levels I decided that I wanted a career in Equine, what better way to start than learning the basics. After finishing my A-Levels I started a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Equine Management. I worked with a large range of horses and with some amazing academics. I was one of two to graduate with the highest grade achievable (A*A*A*) and was subsequently awarded the Blue Cross Award for Equine Welfare and Husbandry.
