Terms & Conditions

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

1. Liability Policies:

  • Nannies 4 Pets agrees to provide services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against Nannies 4 Pets, unless arising from gross negligence on the part of Nannies 4 Pets. Client agrees to notify Nannies 4 Pets of any concerns within 24 hours of returning home. 

  • Nannies 4 Pets cannot be responsible for pets that bite, suffer an accidental death or escape from faulty fencing or from inside the home due to faulty screens, doors, etc. 

  • Nannies 4 Pets cannot be responsible for any complication’s pets may suffer or actions of pets while they are unattended. 

  • Nannies 4 Pets shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any pet that the client has let outside or has instructed Nannies 4 Pets to allow outside while sitter is not there. This includes pets with doggie doors and outdoor pets. 

  • The client understands that all pets (where appropriate) must have a veterinarian and must be up to date on vaccinations. Client agrees to reimburse Nannies 4 Pets for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care and lost wages) associated with contracting any ailments while exposed to pet(s). 

  • All pets with electronic fences must wear their collars with fresh batteries. Nannies 4 Pets is not responsible for any animals that get out or inside of perimeter. 

  • Nannies 4 Pets will not sit for acutely ill animals or those with uncontrolled medical conditions. We suggest the pet be boarded with a vet. 

  • Nannies 4 Pets does not accept aggressive animals. Client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care, attorney fees, etc) if client’s pet should bite us, another person or an animal. 

  • Nannies 4 Pets will not walk unruly or untrained dogs or dogs that choke themselves on their leash. All pets must be walked on a leash, no exceptions. 

  • Nannies 4 Pets does not diagnose, prognose, or make therapy decisions, nor does it offer veterinary services. Any veterinary/medical concerns will be referred to a veterinarian. 

  • Client authorises Nannies 4 Pets to obtain the services of a locksmith should a key/garage opener malfunction. Client is responsible for all charges. 

  • Job sharing is not covered under our insurance. We cannot be responsible for your pet or home if another service provider enters your property while we are responsible for the home and pet. 

 

 

2.1. Cancellation Policy: Nannies 4 Pets reserves the right to deny service or terminate service due to but not limited to safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations. Cancellations due to health crisis/national emergency will be assessed on case-by-case basis whether a cancellation fee will apply.

 

2.2. Cancellation Policy for House/Pet Sitting: Cancellations must be received before 14 days of scheduled booking whereby a cancellation fee of £25 will apply.  Cancellations received within the 14 days prior to scheduled booking, a 50% cancellation fee of the full booking fee will apply. Cancellations received within 48 hours of scheduled booking a cancellation fee of the full booking will apply.

2.2.1 Change of Dates (once away) for House/Pet Sitting: All bookings are final once commenced; in the event the booking is shortened once the House/Pet Sitting has commenced the full booking fee for the original dates will be charged, there will be no deductions for early return. Lengthening the booking whilst away is dependent on availability, we will endeavour to accommodate. Please be advised that this service is in extremely high demand and we run fully booked for peak holiday seasons (all summer as well as all school holidays) and most of the year.

 

2.3. Cancellation Policy for Regular Weekly Services: Cancellations must be received before 14 days of scheduled day wishing to cancel. Any cancellations received within the 14 days prior to scheduled day, a 50% cancellation fee of the booking will apply. Cancellations received within 48 hours of scheduled booking a cancellation fee of the full booking will apply.

 

3. Business Hours: Working hours fall between the hours of 8am – 6pm 7 days a week and services are usually completed during this time unless behind schedule, or otherwise stipulated. House/Pet Sitting is not included in these times. Office hours are between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Nannies 4 Pets will not accept time specific calls as we cannot guarantee specific times accurately. A three-hour window is acceptable. 

 

4. Emergencies:

  • Client agrees to authorise Nannies 4 Pets to handle any emergencies that may arise. Nannies 4 Pets will make every effort to contact client, however client gives Nannies 4 Pets authority to act in the pet’s/home’s best interest. 

  • Nannies 4 Pets requires you to have a responsible party to take care of your pet(s) in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness/accident and in the event of inclement weather or a natural disaster. It is best your emergency contact is a neighbour or local so they can reach your home. Nannies 4 Pets is not responsible for pets in these circumstances. 

 

5. Payment Arrangement: Payment is expected within 7 days of completion of services or on a schedule previously agreed (and detailed in contact) before services are rendered. In the event of additional unforeseen visits or other costs (such as food, supplies, or vet fees), payment is expected within 7 days of the completion of services or a late charge of £30 will be applied.
